I thought I was Harry? Hmmm... you're not still confused, apparently, but a cute attempt to claim no obsession with me either. plum, you and Harry share several traits, one of which is the quickness with which you accuse others of being 'obsessed'. You make a tremendous number of posts and if two or three are answered, then the responder is 'obsessed' with you. Usually, as in the case of Harry, those who accuse others of being obsessed are quite obsessed with themselves. There's a name for that. 'I went to Google looking for boating groups' - right. Tell us about your boat or the one you're thinking of buying. |

You're the one who plonked me, then changed your mind. Don't know if you're obsessed or not. Don't really care, as long as you don't show up on my doorstep. I don't think I make anywhere near the number of many others here. Feel free to do a count and let us know who's the most prolific. I don't think I'm obsessed with myself any more than anyone else is with themself. I didn't say I went to google, I said Outlook. I looked under news, and typed in boats. I'm not thinking of buying a boat, nor do I currently own one. I told someone that I used to own a Hobie (part owner). Do I need to take a boating test before I get to post here? Did you take one? -- Nom=de=Plume |

Herring isn't much of a boater. He had a boat, but he rarely used it it and was trying to sell it. Herring is here to peddle his right-wing racist agenda, and *impress* us with his lack of prowess in golf. |

Herring thinks senority applies to newsgroups and you should submit to his questioning. It's an example of the advanced degradation of his brain or that he never possessed the ability to comport himself in an appropriate manner for the situation. As you've noticed, we don't give one another much room in rec.boats. The past several elections and wars have offered plenty of opportunity for folks to self-identify. Herring shows up as ex-military who hates government but has made his entire living off government-run agencies. You seem like an upright, honest person who's willing to engage all. I admire that in anyone but rec.boats may require a more guarded approach. Some of these idiots will use any shred of information to claw for a foothold. I hope you get some satisfaction from the exchanges. Please protect yourself so you don't burn out. Your voice is a welcome one. |
