CNN Poll: Double-digit post-speech jump for Obama plan
Really? Well, let's take a look. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com...or-obama-plan/ "The sample of speech-watchers in this poll was 45 percent Democratic and 18 percent Republican. Our best estimate of the number of Democrats in the voting age population as a whole indicates that the sample is about 8-10 points more Democratic than the population as a whole." I guess it's better to be openly dishonest rather than just plain dishonest. |

I guess it's better to be openly dishonest rather than just plain dishonest. There's nothing dishonest about it, since the poll was taken of those who watched the speech, and the number of Dems who watched greatly exceeded the number of Repubs who watched. More important, Obama cut the balls off the crazier congressional Repubs last night and firmed up his positions among those in the House audience who mattered. I think it is now possible that with a handful of Repub senators, Obama is damned close to 60 votes right now in the Senate. It'll be lovely when it passes, for the obvious reasons that it will help those who need the help. Just as nice, it will give the Dems a terrific campaign issue against the Repubs, who not only are against health insurance reform, but are also against Medicare. And...hopefully...it'll give some of those on the far right, the Obama haters, a stroke. :) -- Birther-Deather-Tenther-Teabagger: Idiots All |

You mean the lies that about 70 percent of the country knows as fact.. In your book anything over 51% is "settled" and a "concences (sp?)" so we should be over this thing already, right? Do you REALLY need me to re-post all of the lies the GOP has gotten you to believe about Obama and HR-3200? |
