I don't think "disagreement" is the topic of conversation, at all...... I think *incessant off-topic posting* is the point. I can agree and disagree with both *sides.* I find the *sides* have adopted Hatfield and McCoy mentalities.... now everything posted is perceived as a personal attack. It is almost like posters have lost their own identities and can only post from some perceived political position... all too often, of late, not even rooted in facts. Why are we posting with masks of political identity in a boating newsgroup. This would be a healthier discussion if I said you suck because you own a Bayliner, that what political party with which you identify. If you want to discuss disagreeing, let's talk about agreeing to disagree.... and killfiling those who can't. Harry honestly posts that he come here to stir up trouble and you aren't going to get him to stop. Now, you have folks of a different political persuasion doing the same thing. Folks coming here to disagree angrily, spread hateful political crap (factual or not), use dirty little words and phrases, etc. ..... At least Harry is honest enough to admit it.......... to everybody..... Harry sucks. Is that honest enough for you? |

The Freak , on the other hand, might be better off under a more caring system......... unless he expects one of his rich buddies to find him a job. The Lt Colonel is a classic example of a greedy..'got mine , screw you' mindset. He doesn't mind being so firmly planted on Uncle Sams tit that you couldn't budge him with a crowbar... but let someone else dare try to share that elite piece of pie! There are cowards, and there are others. Thankfully, several of us here fall into the latter category. You and Harry don't. Sorry about that. I bet your superior officers were darn "sorry" too! When did they wise up? |

I rarely shop brick and mortar with them any more. I'm surprised that you don't have one in your area given the number of boaters thereabouts. We've got 3 or 4 within 10 miles here in SWFL, too many in my opinion for the good of the company. |

I imagine SW Fl is somewhat unique in the boat to citizen count. There are a lot of boaters around here and a lot of different areas that have access to the water. I've been through Gene's area a number of times and there's a lot of boats and a lot of water front there also. |
