Your tires already have 78.0% nitrogen 20.9% oxygen and some
trace gases in them. How much are you going to have to pay to
protect the inside of the tire from the oxygen. How do they
plan to protect the outside of your tire from the effects of
oxygen?
Good points all.

This group is definitely helping me with my senility problem.
Adm Arliegh Burke has a nice facility up in McLean for guys like
you. If you get into the alzheimer's ward they will give you the
code to open the doors but, you will forget it 10 seconds later.
Hey! Be nice.

I've not been able to golf for almost four weeks 'cause of the
cracked
rib. Wednesday I went out and played 18 here at Greendale. I waited
long enough. Nothing hurt, so I guess I'm good to go.

I bought a 7-wood, used, from Callaway. Nice club. I took the
4=iron
out of the bag.
I was up at the US Open a week or two ago. I've got that checked
off the list and I never have to do it again.

Getting ready to do the 10 day drive from Denver to Minneapolis
with the wife and kids. Leaving for the airport in about an hour.
Ah, Minneapolis, my birthplace. As you drive by, see if the flag is
flying upside down over the capitol since Franken is now a Senator.

What's so cool is I know WAFA is gonna' **** at this post and I won't
even see it.. Already the group is much easier and nicer to read with
he and Just a Piece of **** plonked..

Rowdy Mouse Racing, 6th place in the Womens Class!
It's not polite to make reference to those in your bozos bin. Besides,
you want to keep em guessing. It drives them crazy.
SIR, yes SIR!!
You're confusing me with Major John.
Sure as hell not me!

Who else if a Major pain in the butt here?

You're just sharp as a tack today. Great post, Don White.

My apologies. Did I give you a promotion or a demotion?

I'd have been thrilled with a promotion, but I can get by with just
'John'. Or, if you feel like Harry, 'Asshole' will also work.

The COSTCO store here filled your tires for free. Thay claim you don't
lose
air pressure during climate changes. (fall-winter etc)

They didn't fill my tires. Don't you be making up lies about my tires.
Enough is enough.

Talk about owls down by the stream or something.

Sorry...if you weren't such a cheapskate, and actually bought quality
tires
there, they'd take care of you.

You got me. I don't buy *any* tires at Costco. I don't like seconds.

Is there something wrong with the Michelin Cross Terrains on my
4Runner? I'm sure they're not as good as the Uniroyal Tiger Paw GTS's
you've got on that pink RAV4.

As usual, I appreciate your advice and friendly attitude.

Huh?
I have 17" Toyo A20 Open Country tires on my SUV.

Great, but he was asking about the pink RAV4.

Spectacular tires! Although you may want to be a little careful in the
snow:

I'll probably dig into the piggybank for a grand and put new snow tires &
plain steel wheels on all four corners.

Most of the TMPS systems don't really measure tire pressure.
The system has speed sensors on each wheel and measures the rotation time of
each tire compared to the others. If a tire is low, it's number of
rotations for a given speed, compared to the other tires will increase.
That's what triggers the low pressure warning.

It's a natural add-on capability brought about by anti-lock braking systems
(which require the speed sensors).

So, air or nitrogen means diddily.

Just noticed the large sign on a well known tire dealer within walking
distance of my home.
They say they will show you how you can save money with nitrogen in your
tires.
I'm sure it's about gas savings with properly inflated tires...but I might
drop in next week and hear their argument.

What about the sensors that readout PSI and not just the *low* warning. I
have two Buick Lucernes and the newest actually reads out the PSI for each
tire, the older gives a low warning without telling which tire is actually
low. The older system is the one that I understand measured wheel rotation.

I was unaware of that. Learn something new everyday. It is my
understanding however that most of the tire pressure monitoring systems are
of the type I described.

If i recall correctly the senors that measure PSI cost $300~400 to replace

A tire pressure gauge is a couple of bucks at Auto Zone.
