I ended up getting a Canon HF100 just before the trip and am very pleased with the video/optical quality. Now I need to learn something about editing. :-) Any recommendations? Great video - nice performance on the HD. Got a little sea sick with the motion though - tough in a moving boat. Do you have image stabilization? I found with my Canon, that the image stabilization is very impressive. With respect to editing, I like the Ulead VideoStudio products - simple, intuitive and you can get some really outstanding results - not that expensive either. The new Video Studio X2 is a great program - I've often compared it to Adobe's Premiere series for producing really great slide shows and video. Not being overly critical - if you shoot a lot in automatic rather than manually adjusting for lighting conditions, I'd look into a daylight or UV filter - even a neutral density filter - .3 or so would help even out the darker areas with the light areas. Just a suggestion - it's fine the way it is. |
