Wife insisted taking our 1 yr old Golden Retriever sailing today against my wishes. *"She won't be in the way" she said. *Damn dog took up most of the cockpit floor and I could not adjust the main cuz he was sitting on the mainsheet. *Boat is trying to jibe and I can't adjust for a "soft" jibe instead of a hard one because of him. A little choppy, maybe 3' seas, maybe 12 kt wind, a nice day for sailing. *Dog never looked ill but immediately after jibe, BARF, BARF, all over the cockpit. *Never taking the dang dog again. Seeing it's a Retriever, I've surprised it didn't' want to jump overboard and swim along side. |
