Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul
,
Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the 2008
Presidential election:
* Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29
* Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans:
2,427,000
* Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million
Republicans:
143 million
* Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats:
13.2 Republicans: 2.1
Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory
Republicans
won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.
Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in
government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government
welfare..."
Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the
"complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of
democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already
having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.
If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal
invaders called illegals and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the
USA
in fewer than five years. If you are in favor of this, then by all
means,
delete this message.
If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how
much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our
freedom
My my...all those 'people of colour' with the vote.

I suppose you'll lie again and purport to have "facts" that he has
nightmares, huh? You aren't coming off any more credible than Harry
lately, and that's bad.

I do believe Donny just uttered a racist remark. Let's see if his bigot
buddy reprimands him for it.

You believe??
We've seen your work here.

Actually, your remark about "people of colour" was not racist. What it
was was ironic, pointing out the not-so-subtle racism of "Professor"
Olson, and anyone who believes that sort of right-wing crap.

Righties are afraid and resentful of "people of colour." Just ask
Herring about the Latinos who live down the street, or the blacks whose
families he insulted while he was working as a substitute teacher.

As for Florida Jim, most of whose posts I don't even see second-hand,
well, he has proven beyond any shadow of doubt that he is nothing more
than a pile of aged ****.

not quite. the states won by the GOP were those where abortion,
divorce and teen pregnancy is rampant. IOW where people don't practice
what they preach. and they are states where people get more from the

this is the problem with conservatives: they want to deny citizenship

People do not vote for the President. States vote for the President. Did
you sleep during Civics class? How a state picks their Electors is up to
the state. Just happens that now all states have elections to pick the
Electoral slate. And most states do not require the Electors to actually
vote for the person picked by their electors. California, they only have to
vote for the chosen candidate on the first ballot. So if a tie on the first
ballot, the Electoral College could vote for someone not even on the ballot.

Jesus, Bill, is that the latest right wing wet dream, that since the
"conservatives" will not win the presidential election in 2012 (with
who? Sarah Palin, Bobby Jindal?), the best hope is to subvert the

the right wing take, ala scalia, is that bush won the 2000 election
even though he lost the popular vote by 500,000

and obama lost the past election even though he got 52% of the popular
vote...

typical right wing horse****.

It's hard to tell among the winger potentials who will reach the bottom
faster...Palin...or Jindal. I just read a long piece about Palin, a part
of which compared her to Eva Peron in some ways. I hadn't thought about
that before...

you missed the point, didn't you. he tried to insinuate that more
PEOPLE voted for mccain than voted for obama. that is not true.

which is completely irrelevant to the post.

and your point about 'states' voting is wrong. electors vote. not
