IL (Actually Chicago) has ALWAYS been more corrupt than LA... since the
days of Cappone and then the first mayor Daly. They were always just
much smarter about not getting caught until the more recent years. BTW..
the city (Chicago) always runs BETTER and more efficiently with a corrupt
mayor.

I'd have to say that Mayor Washington shook things up pretty good. I go
back to the days when Daley (the first) talked his friend into closing
Riverview for a short time (bad crowds, wrong color). It never re-opened...
