I'm thinking of vacationing in the Atchafalaya region of Louisiana in Spring 2005. Can anyone give me some advice about a great place to rent a cabin/room and possible day paddling trips? I have my own kayak. Thanks for any advice!

Kelly, you should find what you are looking for in the December 2004 issue of
Sea Kayaker magazine which has a good article on the Atchafalaya region.
