Oh, I thought he meant the State Government.
I don't know about La., but my home state is Il. and it was
pretty crooked when the first Daly ran it from Chicago, and for a
long time before that. I wonder if "getting caught" is all that
separates one state from another that way?
Pete Stanaitis
We're ****ed here in NJ because we always prided ourselves in having
the most corrupt government in the land. Now the FBI tells us we're
only third.
Damn.
Has the City of Newark ever had a Mayor complete his term in office,
outside of the home for wayward government employees in Rahway?
Whats Marion Barry doing these days?
Mayor "Crackhead" Barry or Mayor "The bitch set me up" Barry? He is
serving on the city council in Washington DC
(
http://www.dccouncil.us/BARRY/default.htm). He is the cat with 9 lives.
Barry as a criminal is a piker in comparison to Dick Cheney and his
gaggle of goons.
Why do you find it necessary to cross post, Harry? You complain that people
here are insulting you, yet you do things like that which invite negative
criticism.
Barry broke laws. Cheney did not.

If his personal info was reposted ever time he crossposts he might get
the hint. Then again, his metal issues may even cloud that.- Hide quoted text -

He has his crew of inbiciles and liars coming from another group.

He still created the monster. It's surprising how many defective idiot
followers WAFA has. On the other hand, he may not be as much of an
asshole in the other groups.

I always hate OT but since I grew up in IL and went to
undergrad in LA (Tulane) I couldn't resist

IL (Actually Chicago) has ALWAYS been more corrupt than LA...
since the days of Cappone and then the first mayor Daly.
They were always just much smarter about not getting caught
until the more recent years. BTW.. the city (Chicago) always
runs BETTER and more efficiently with a corrupt mayor.

Also interesting fact (I use the word fact lightly)
According to the FBI only 48% of the murderers in the US ever
serve time.... in recent history 50% of the IL Gov's will
serve time.. so... you are more likely to go to prison if you
are elected as Gov of IL than if you committ MURDER!!!! :-)

I am glad I now live in South Florida... a beautiful little
Banana republic where we expect our politicians to be on the
take.... Look out NJ... we are coming up fast in the outer
lane!!! you could be #4.
nail on head

True! I am so mortified that my proud home state of NJ is
getting eclipsed by places like Illinois.

We need a PR firm for our corruption. We need better and more
newsworthy corruption.

But how do you compete when your closest neighbor elects a
governor who made his name tracking down prostitution rings,
then gets caught in bed with a skanky $1000/hour hooker?
We have our work cut out for us, all right. The trouble is that
our corrupt politicians don't think big enough. We've become
small-timers in the bigger scheme of things. Our guys think that
a new cabin cruiser, season Jets tickets, and a couple of bimbos
serving drinks in the luxury suites at Yankee Stadium is living
in corrupt luxury.

What we need is politicians who know what they can command in
the marketplace. Maybe we can get them some help from MLB
players' agents.

Ed, I think you have come up with a new profession, a corruption
and take manager for politicans. The cover name for the office
is political expiditer. Politicians themselves seem to blow it
when it comes to being on the take.

John
I still think that hiring them from the ranks of MLB players'
agents is the way to go. If they can get $82.5 million for A.J.
Burnett, they can revolutionize New Jersey's political corruption.

I wouldn't bet my last dollar on Illinois or Lousiana being the
"most corrupt" states.
I dunno. I'm still cheering for NJ. But the FBI must have some basis
for making the judgment. We'll have to ask them.

I see no reason to trust any agency connected to the Bush
Administration Justice Department. Which is not to say I think Blago
should remain in office.

Do you see any good reason to cross post?

I'm crosspost neutral. Once in a while, though, it does bring in a new
poster more interesting than, say, the pack of jackals.

Do they need your personal info? They may have missed it the first time.
