Oh, I thought he meant the State Government.
I don't know about La., but my home state is Il. and it was
pretty crooked when the first Daly ran it from Chicago, and for a
long time before that. I wonder if "getting caught" is all that
separates one state from another that way?

Pete Stanaitis

We're ****ed here in NJ because we always prided ourselves in having
the most corrupt government in the land. Now the FBI tells us we're
only third.

Damn.

Why is it a FACT that the most corrupt is always Democrat-run?
Asshole, hypocrite, liberal scum is what they all are. And those who
vote for them are just as bad.

Well, for starters, the Illinois governor now in prison ss a
Republican. And Louisiana is governed by a Republican. So maybe it's a
matter of perception that's influencing your "facts."

In LA the governor has been a Democrat for years and years. Finally,
after the New Orleans fiasco which both the Democrat governor and
Democrat Mayor blotched big time voters got fed up and voted the
Governor, at least, out. The new Republican governor, Bobby Jindal,
can't be expected to correct the vast amount of Democrat corruption over
night.

The Illinois governor, Daniel Wallace, who is serving prison time is a
Democrat.

Who's Daniel Wallace? The Illinois governor now serving prison time is
George Ryan, a Republican.

Maybe we've discovered your perception problem...d8-)

He's thinking of Dan Walker.
He was govenor of IL in the mid seventies.
In '87 he was convicted milking a bunch of fradulent loans from a bank.
It was not related to his term in office.

Paul K. Dickman

Thanks, Paul.

Google him, you fool. There are no fewer than FOUR, count them, 4 former
Illinois governors serving time at the present time.

Uh, no, Ryan is the only one.

And if Blagojevich is convicted before Ryan's release it will be the first
time inhistory that ywo governors have been in Federal frison for crimes
commited while in office.

Cliff,
Is this the same as saying which has the best police force. If they don't
get caught they don't appear crooked.

Of course, no one can hold a candle to Gov. Long, wow now there is a crooked
guy... maybe Boss Tweed could match him but was Boss ever really in
goverment, or just graft?

But of course we don't know the most crooked, because he is so good at it he
has never been caught. The perfect crime is not one you got away with, but
one that no one even knows happened!

Well, since the Democrat President Elect came from Illinois, I'd say
Illinois must be the most corrupt. Democrats hate morality.

Hey, I didn't say the Republicans were better. I think it's a politician
thing! :-)

Of course none of your examples are intellectually honest or even
accepted... Just because you say it doesn't make it true so why don't
you take your bull**** under some other rock and stop crossposting it
here where we really don't care...

They are more than accepted...they are true.

Let's see....point by point

"Lying about "WMDs"", plenty of reports and statements by leading Democrats,
world leaders, before and after 9/11 said Saddam was actively working on
trying to build WMD's
"starting imperialist wars & invasions"; well most wars/invasions of this
type are without provocation or total Congressional support, so what was
9/11 again?
"murdering millions"; care to define how many millions and where they lived?
"tons of other things"; care to define those "tons of things" he lied about?
"giving utterly incompetent cronies jobs of huge power"; names, jobs and
reason they are utterly incompetent at least in your opinion?
"no-bid profiteering for your buddies"; last I heard DoD was going after to
recover $$ on contracts that were not completed to spec. Sounds like
perfectly good business practice. You ever see any government project(city,
state, federal) without cost overruns? Ted Kennedy's Big Hole in Boston
sound familar?
"lying about sciences"; WHAT?

One thing I notice is every liberal rant about W. always sounds like
something said by an 8 year old on why it isn't his fault the cookie jar is
broken. When you breakdown their rants to details and show they are pretty
vague and ill defined with limited basis in any kind of logic, they will
start to call you neo-con and assorted profane remarks......

Flame on!

Has the City of Newark ever had a Mayor complete his term in office,
outside of the home for wayward government employees in Rahway?

I don't know. The current one, Corey Booker, is a real revolution. He's a
friend of Obama and has a similar history --a Rhodes Scholar, and the Bloods
have been trying to kill him because he's shut down a lot of the drug trade.
He lived in a tent for a while in one of Newark's roughest neighborhoods
just to confront the druggies and crooks on a full-time basis. If he isn't
killed, he may make it.
