When you publish the book, please include maps showing the locations of each shot. That's not too much to ask. -- Would you like me to make a reservation for you at the hotels I stayed in? Actually I've addressed the situation you mentioned for my own purposes. Starting this year, I've geo-tagged every photo I've taken. That means that encoded in the EXIF data is the precise lat/lon coordinates I was standing in when I took the shot. The software I use to do this will export the geo-tag data as waypoints that can be used in Garmin's MapSource software. This way, when I look at a photo 10 years from now, when I'm even more old and feeble than I am now, I won't have to remember where I took the shot. All I have to do is look at the EXIF data and it's permanently written right there. Cool stuff. |
