I'm thinking of doing the St Lawrence River loop next summer on our trawler. Please try to get the heat turned on before we do that. Our very own Geoff Schultz is doing that trip on his sailboat as we speak. I'll be very interested in reading his cruise reports. ========= There are a few stories on the net ,, do search ,, of folks who have done the St Lawrence River loop.. I"m assuming when you say loop you mean all the way to the mouth of the river, Gaspe? The currents, fog, bad weather can be brutal. Check the posted trips on the net. I've met a few who have done the NY, up Hudson to Canal,, across NY to Great Lakes, and later back across Lake Erie, to Lake Ontario to Montreal to canal that leads to Vermont and then NY and then the Hudson.. That trip is warmer. hahah |
