I have seen much discussion on the hose TYPES for the holding tank.
But little discussion on the hose TYPE for the vent hose. My boat like most others has the clear plastic type and now hold odors. So I would like to replace it with the proper type. Thanks, Chuck |

So I would like to replace it with the proper type. Boat builders save money by using clear plastic water hose for vent lines and head intake lines--without any regard for whether it's rated for below waterline connections (some clear hose is, some isn't)...which, as you've seen, permeates with odor very quickly. Replace both lineswith sanitation hose--Shields or Trident...black or white, your choice. -- Peggie ---------- Peggie Hall Specializing in marine sanitation since 1987 Author "Get Rid of Boat Odors - A Guide To Marine Sanitation Systems and Other Sources of Aggravation and Odor" http://69.20.93.241/store/customer/p...40&cat=&page=1 |
