Matt, trucks have 2 brakes per axle, just like any car has, yes
they're bigger, but no bazoos anywhere. That is why , when loaded heavy it takes 10 times the stopping distance compared to a car. Same thing when towing a boat. BTW, 80,000# is normal legal limit, however you can haul up to 117,500# legally with the same amount of brakes. And most have 400 + hp. these days.
