He wants to eliminate you as a perp, and he has his hands full so it may take a while. No sense getting into a discussion with him about "detainment" and "arrest" and lawyers. The results of that will most likely be time-consuming, stressful and costly. Best be helpful. There are cases where innocent people get framed for a crime. If you find yourself in a police station room with a cop asking you detailed questions about something you know nothing about, that's the time to clam up and get a lawyer. Just watch a few episodes of COPS for how it works in the street and some "investigative" shows for when not having a lawyer can be a bad thing. --Vic |
