zeli.76$oh7.41@newsfe12.lga: Hey, its July. Its the midwest. Could be worse. Could be Oklahoma. We have those monstrous hurricanes, but our "tornadoes" are kind of puny by midwest standards. We have those little "rope tornadoes"....very intense, but in a tiny path. They'll destroy one house, jump over 2 and tear up the garage on the 4th...no touching a shingle on those two in the middle....not those 1/2 mile Oklahoma monsters that clear out 3 neighborhoods. Larry -- Hugo survivor - Sept 1989. Stood in the eye looking up at the stars and described it to a friend in Ohio on my cellphone....from the center of Hugo, Cat 5 hurricane. |
