Default Dockwise Yacht Transport

Has anybody had any experience with Dockwise Yacht Transport?
Especially shipping from either Australia or New Zealand to the
Northern Hemisphere. I seem to have struck a bad patch and wonder if
others have advice on how to deal with the company.

My neighbor had his Amel shipped from Costa Rica to Ft. Lauderdale by
Dockwise. He was pleased.

Read a story by a local fellow who had his boat shipped from the Caribbean
to Vancouver, BC. The shipping went very well but he reported having a
devil of a time getting everything arranged. Much patience and
communication required. Don't recall if it was the local rep or the head
office causing all the grief.

The local Australian Agent of Dockwise is now washing his hands of the
situation and does not want to get involved or explain the almost
doubling of the shipping price after I had accepted the initial offer.
There has been no response from Dockwise for days.

For running such a big operation the head office seems to be surprisingly
messed up. Makes you wonder.
