I just noticed that the instructions for eye splicing Sta-Set that I
downloaded from the New England Ropes site are slightly different than the ones in the booklet that came with the fid set. I downloaded the instructions first and then ended up teaching myself from the booklet because it was right there. There are a couple of clearer explanations in the on-line version and a couple of things I figured out the hard way. Use the downloaded version if you try this at home. It's a good thing to know how to do. I'm going to save seven bucks on each of my new docklines and the eyes will be the size I want. -- Roger Long |
