Default Sea Ray 250 DA bilge update

Forward bilge flooded over cabin carpet again last night (2" rain storm).
Drilled hole in bottom of shower sump to allow bilge water in for disposal,
but 1.) the float switch does not activate until almost 2" of water in the
sump container (higher than the cabin carpet); and when manually activated,
the rubber check valve after the pump did not work, blocking exiting water.
Removing that allowed the water to be pumped out to just below the carpet.
NEXT: New check valve. Then determine source of rain water (I suspect one or
more ports, particularly the one in the head, which may be leaking behind
the wall to under the head structure) (Thanks for the tip on that,)
