I generally wear Rockports exclusively from May until October. Once I
found a style/size that suited me, I just kept buying the same - usually 2 or 3 pair when I could find the on sale. I'm bummed that they discontinued my style (Perth) so after about 15 years I may have to find a different brand. Although there are many well made deck shoes out there, the trick is to find a company whose "last" fits your foot. For me that was Rockport, so most of my footwear is from them. I sure am sorry to hear they dropped the Perth line. I have been wearing
them for years and buy them the same way you do. "Jeff Morris" wrote in message ... I generally wear Rockports exclusively from May until October. I may stand corrected - the Rockport web site shows you can buy the
Perth online for $90. Strange, I looked for them at many stores this Summer and no one had them. Perhaps they were shifting production and were temporarily out. http://shop.rockport.com/family/inde...1&pageBucket=0 Johnhh wrote: I sure am sorry to hear they dropped the Perth line. I did a search after I read your post and found lots of places selling them.
Just to be safe, I ordered a pair for $78 and free shipping. "Jeff Morris" wrote in message ... I may stand corrected - the Rockport web site shows you can buy the Perth online for $90. My wife kept buying them because she liked the looks or something. I wear only Sperry in the original boat shoe. All the others I have tried do not have the same very safe sole that gets a grip on almost anything. |

I have been wearing sperry topsiders for years, I wear them till the wife
gets tired of looking at them, usually nearly falling apart by then. Everytime I buy new ones I get the heal blisters till they break in, which usually doesn't take long because I wear them everyday, even for house slippers. They are just so damn comfortable. I usually buy them at boat shows, someone always has them on sale. Trace, Hudson Beach, Fl. John wrote in message ... Do folks still wear deck shoes? Try Men's Performance Mocs 1460.
They look good and have great arch support and feel good right away. From West Marine. I got mine on sale. Great shoe. |
