Wrong. The Arizona cops can only check for evidence of citizenship on a
legal stop for something else. Speeding? Are you a citizen?
Rob a bank? Got papers? etc

I am not arguing, but as reported internationally the police were
given the right to check anyone that they wanted to.

Sort of shows the quality of the news agencies, doesn't it.

Of course there are bad cops. There are bad sailors also as witnessed
on this NG from time to time.

You've got at least one nutcase sheriff "out there" who is notorious for
being out of control.

Bad Sailors on this news group? My God, man! You destroy my faith in

My fuel consumption is in the Honda Reflex scooter...about $6/week.

Hey bud, I have a Helix.

Mine's a 2004. Bought it from the local Vespa dealer someone turned in
with 1900 miles on it for a 125 Vespa. He wanted a less powerful
scooter. I think your 250 motor must be about the same motor. Reflex
just snazzed up the plastic. The Chinese make the same scooter without
the Honda profit load on it for lots less. We compared the two. Mine
has a parking brake. Theirs has an FM stereo radio built into the panel
over where my parking brake lever is mounted and those little "air
conditioner" holes we never figured out the use for is where the stereo
speakers are mounted!

http://www.powersportsmax.com/produc...roducts_id/634

Hmm...price dropped again! $1649 brand new. Honda wanted $4700 for it.
It's the SAME scooter.....

The Honda drive belt is $82 at local Honda dealers. Our chinese scooter
shop sold me the EXACT same belt, right down to the brand name for $18!

Guess whos parts I buy....(c;]

I live in Charleston, SC. Been as far away as Columbia and Myrtle Beach
on mine. Went to Myrtle Beach with two friends driving noisy custom
Harley's. They took me along as a joke, expecting to leave me along
side the highway. I was bound to stay with them and they finally gave
up around 75 before we got ticketed....hee hee.

"How fast will it go?", everyone always asks. "I don't know! The cops
don't want me to find out.", is my answer....(c;]

BTW, State Farm, my car insurance company sells me $100K/$300K/$50K
liability insurance for it for $23/year. Uninsured motorist coverage is
another $32/year, here. THat makes it cheap to keep, too!

The sensible thing, if the problem is internal combustion engines is
the problem, to limit them in size. Say 90 cc for a 2 wheeler and ,say
1 Ltr. for a 4 wheel. Heavy trucks? somewhere around 1.5 Ltrs., which
would yield around 100 HP. But that wouldn't be politically correct
and a poison pill for any politician who proposed it.

http://wattsupwiththat.com/2010/05/1...lobal-warming/

The skeptics have a little monkeywrench for them this week. Here you'll
find a graph of temperature on a sensor probe the Apollo 15 astronauts left
running on the moon, out of range of the human blame game.

Notice the "global warming" on the moon your SUV can't be blamed
for.....well, maybe not.

Mars has similar global warming problems unrelated to humans to explain
away.

GW is caused by the SUN....well, duhhh...(c;]

I just dont care about spelling and if you look closely yo ll also see
my letters get scrambeld at times.

On to the real topic:

Im hanging out with some 22 yo college students which is fun. two of
the friends are geology students. I was asking about religous people
and geo. Interestin........... theyboth said seeral national churches
sponse students (scholarships) to attend state schools. Their mission
is to get state school degrees and at the same time learn mainstream
science to find "holes" in the secular science that can be attributed
to GOD. In other words if there is an area in the body of literature
that lacks reasearch the religious students use that as a sign that
only GOD could explain the mystry. Its not really a mystry just a
point that has not been studind throughly yet.

Now, with the religous guys holding BS-MS-PH D from asate university
they sart publishing thier own GOD based researh......... and guess
what are their results: Global Climate Change is normal and since God
is responsible for hte "normal" change we can **** in our own nest
polute and devastate every living thing because God is on or side and
all the disctrution is a normal natural process.... or so says the
"lates research accrding to Fox Network that reports the latest
findins for a scientest who holds a PH D.from Eastern Idaho
University.

THese are not my ideas. This was expaind to me by two geology majors
at a state univesity. O. by the way graduation is today !!

When I explain Creationism to confused kids, I tell them.....

"Creationism is what the people of the Middle East, 2000 years ago
believed was science. But, we've discovered several new ideas since
then that are true that they had no way of finding out running around in
sandals and a sack dress."

Then, it's time to break out some of the great BBC and National
Geographic documentaries on Alien Earth, Catastrophies on Earth, etc.,
and let them see the CURRENT beliefs and, if now found to be FACT, the
Facts....without the cults.

It isn't fair to put Dinosaur and ancient Earth videos on a USB Flash
drive and let him take it to Christian School for "Show N Tell", though.
The schools get very "testy" when the children come armed with HARD
EVIDENCE from major scientists and astrophysicists explaining Evolution
so nicely presented even an apostle could see the logic and reason in
it.

It's just child abuse to lie to them.....

Excellent word, "miniscule". Human CO2 generation equates to 9.6 ounces of
a 10,000 gallon swimming pool.

"Miniscule", indeed!
