think the steam engine worked, but they preferred to use the outboard.

The photo, on my small screen, was too small for me to read the sign.
Was this the actual boat used in the movie?

I believe the original was built in England and shipped in parts for the
filming. However, much of the actual footage was a mockup on a raft
where all the parts could be moved around. Other footage was in a tank
in England, and some was using a model.
