On my Gulfstar 36 there is a teak toe rail. The port side rail is rotting away and needs to be replaced. I was quoted $100 a foot for labor and materials. Its important to support your local economy! Anyone have any sources for aluminum or plastic toe rails? As soon as I get some settled weather I'll be replacing my teak with Al. I started with the usual research/web search. I've descided to have a local metal fab business make some custom toe rail. DOnt for get the metal fab guys. I'm going with some 3/8" angle stock. Then I can mount the "fence stantions" to the toe rale and not hav e to drill more leaks into my deck. Just a thought. Bob |
