You reveal your character by choosing the Evo. Yep..... Someone who loves driving most of all. The same type of person who prefers a Miata to a Z4 or a Lotus Elise over a BMW 335i. Or a 135i over a Infiniti G35s. Donal, you need many more lessons before you'll understand what a specialty car is and the kind of person who buys one. It's about handling refinement, feedback and balance. It's not about raw power. That's why the poor DB9 trails most serious sports cars in every respect important to driving. And that's why a Evo X bests the Aston in many respects on handling finesse and why the GT-R bests in EVERY respect. The Aston is a AMC Gremlin compared to the GT-R. And before you say anything more to wet your own bed, consider that the GT-R is capable of 0-60 in 3.3 seconds and can handle a skidpad WELL over a full G. It handles even better than the Evo X. No car made today can touch it. And guess what? The build quality is higher than the DB9. You are probably right. Take your wife out in your Evo, or your GT-R. Let's face it, she won't be impressed! Earlier tonight, when I parked up, my wife gave me a kiss. It was a kiss that said "We deserve this". You haven't been kissed like that, have you? Oz??? Regards Donal -- |

Regards Donal -- Your wife kisses you for the kind of car you drive? You have now crossed firmly into the most pathetic zone since poor Captain Neal left these boards. I've never honestly felt sorry for anybody here....maybe Old Thom when he decided he was too old for his boat. But I do seriously pity you. RB |

Regards Donal My wife is a reasonable race driver and has participated in a number of tarmac rallies. She absolutely glows when she's behind the wheel of either her MX5 or the Evo9 before I sold it. She has often remarked that we're lucky to be able to enjoy this.. The adrenaline after a spirited drive on a winding country road gets me a lot more than a kiss! That's great, Ozzy. Since we got the Legacy turbo and I modded the suspension, Suzanne has enjoyed driving the car more and she drives a 5 speed better than most men I've seen. And she's not so shallow as to respond like poor Donal's wife. I get far more than a special kiss and it sure as hell doesn't require a nice car. The only thing more pathetic than Donal's wife's actions is his willingness to post about it. BTW, I'm having quite a time getting the Evo here in NY. Almost every loaded GSR in Rally Red is sold. I located one in NJ, but the dealer wants a way over MSRP. I may end up getting it from California. RB |

RB Indeed, I've pretty much told my dealer that I'll have any colour but they have assured me that after buying 6 Mitsubishis including the 9, that I will have first refusal on their allocation. BTW, an article on the manual here http://www.pressportal.com.au/news/2...008-09-10.html OzOne of the three twins I welcome you to Crackerbox Palace. |
