The handwriting is on the wall. I'm surprised you have failed to recognize
the symptoms of ASA's rapidly approaching demise. Continue the path you've
chosen, and you will be here alone, save for perhaps a few flonkers and a
sock puppet or two (if lucky).

When you posted as Neal Warren, lambasting just about everyone, spouting
John Birch rhetoric, lauding that piece of **** yellow Coronado, claiming
great oceanic conquests, playing hide-the-sausage with LP (and a disgusting
mental image that conjures, I must say), screaming homophobic accusations at
a few chosen targets, etc., this newsgroup flourished. You were the
whipping boy everyone loved to berate, except perhaps Gilligan, who fanned
the flames a bit by praising you. Your influence here bordered upon
greatness.

Recently, however, you've chosen to appear as poorly-designed and
shoddily-executed sock puppets--the lame and completely inconsistent Ellen
Macarthur, and now as the miscreant, misanthropic old fart, Hubbard, given
to rancor, obtuse verbiage, and attacks with no particular plan or pattern.
Masquerading as less-than-interesting personages, you've failed to stimulate
the sanguine juices that course the vasculature of this NG. You've been
transparent. You've left no lasting impression beyond mediocrity. In other
words, you currently suck.

Unveil yourself, old man. Once again bring forth the character that fueled
the flames of passion of ASA for so long and so deeply. Return to us as the
venerable Capt. Neal, navigator- and sailor-legend in his own mind. If you
truly care about this NG, if you don't want Katy, Jon, Scotty, Joe, BB,
Mundo, Mooron, Bubbles, Doug, Jeff, Marty, Thom, Mr. Milstead, Ozzy,
Navigator, and myriad others to disappear, never to return, bring
back--(drumroll, please)--Capt. Neal Warren.

It's up to you. Jax, Bubbles, and the few other truly talented instigators
have departed and left the NG in a shambles. Only you can save it.

Will you rise to the call of your country . . . er, newsgroup and do your
duty?? Can you not hear the bugle-call to service, summoning your deepest
depravity to the fore?

Be a man. Step up. Return Capt. Neal to ASA. (You'll be glad ya did.)
