Default How many ASAers does it take to change a light bulb?

Not nearly as many ASAers as it takes to argue if it's even necessary

couple months.

You think that leaving a light on will make it burn out?

It's all about cycles...

Alright then. ...blame the one who installed the Clapper Switch that
flips the salon lights on and off every time the mainsail luffs in a
strong wind. :-)

JL,
Your post is a riot - too funny - and right on the money!
I checked my light bulbs anyway, just to be sure. All is well!

It's all about cycles...

While the lack of cycles no doubt contributes to the longevity of that
particular bulb, the fact that it's a dim 4 watt bulb with a low
temperature filament is the determining factor for longevity.

Higher temp in the filament means a shorter lifespan. The easiest way
to prolong the life of a bulb is to have a lower temperature filament,
the problem is that you need high temps to produce white light. In this
case, the bulb barely glows a deep red, which is enough for a nightlight.
