They do get mad when you call them ''Black Bears'', they
prefer the term ''African American Bears''.

Wrong, black bears have killed 37 idiots and wimpy city

boys.

An animal that comes up on an old lady's back porch and

eats
from her dog's bowl, only to be shoo'd away by said little
old lady, is not really very dangerous now is it?

So you can stop wetting your pants now. Besides, bears
rarely come into Noo Yawk Sitty (although I understand

there
is a growing coyote population in many large cities).

.... Black bear males weigh in at over 400 lbs and very

large
specimens can exceed 500 lbs.

Well, how much do you weigh now, Bubbles? Close to 400#
yourself, aincha?

Anyway, the record black bear is over 700# so obviously

your
Googling skills are a bit deficient. But very few black
bears along the East Coast get anywhere near that big.

.... Understand that the muscle mass of even a
small black bear is many times more than a human.

Especially the "muscle" mass of a human who lives in front
of a computer all day, has no accomplishments in life

other
than to brag about his home theater.

.... Black bears are known
for making bluff charges when they feel threatened

Uh huh.

What part of "bluff" don't you understand?

Please leave the bears alone.

Yes, that much is good advice.

Actually, they'd be Native American Bears.

"Then, in 1979, along the Continental Divide south of Pagosa Springs, an
"extinct" Colorado grizzly was surprised on its day bed by a bowhunter named
Ed Wiseman. The bear, perhaps feeling cornered, attacked. Wiseman was
knocked to the ground and severely mauled, but managed to stab and kill the
bear with a hand-held arrow."

Wimpy NYC fag boy Capt RB will slam the windows tight on the tour bus at the
mere sighting of a black bear - behind the bars at the Bronx Zoo!

Real manly men, like the one mentioned above in the first paragraph, (note
they live in manly areas and do manly things) take the problem into their
own "bare" hands. I wonder if Mr. Wiseman was worried about the resolution
of his dvd player at the time?

RB shows his ignorance, cowardice and cloistered life style on this one
folks!

Way to go RB!

Nutsy,

Just this week there was a picture on local TV ( wish I had recorded it)
of a Orange House Tabby that had treed a full size Black Bear. I mean to
say Really Treed. Every time it tried to come down the Cat would start
up after it and the Bear would go higher.

A great picture; Cat on the ground looking up at the Bear and the Bear,
about 60 feet up the tree looking down at the Cat.
