I also noticed Rob is brokering an old Laser. For awhile I was looking
for an older Laser, especially on ebay until I looked at one locally.
The ad said $700 and when I looked her over, i was impressed. Trailer
was ok, sails looked servicable, mast was good. Then I pressed down on
the deck and "Craaaaaaaaack".........the ply under the plastic deck was
rotten. At least that is what I think as there was no way to look. It
woulda been very easy to get sucked into a bad deal like that.
Instead, I have rebuilt the local yacht club Laser.

He's been trying to sell that for 2 years. I asked to
go see it and never heard from him.

Bart, anytime you want to see the Laser, just e-mail me. I also have a
Dyer dink and some other items...some of which you may want.

If that Laser is in ok shape, its a reasonable deal.

It's not a soggy boat. Looks clean and just needs a mast collar and
sail.

I don't know the weight, but I think it's from the late 70's. The step
does not leak. 399.00, but she's really dirty.

What rigging? Glass or wood foils? Tiller?
Builder? Find out what the weight is.

Steve, are you seriously interested in the Laser? If so I'll get the
numbers off the stern today and e-mail you a few pics.
The wood tiller is gone. The foils are white glass. She hasn't been
sailed in 10 years or more and was mostly sitting on the rack beneath
some powerboats.

Get a scale and weigh it. Is it just the hull and
foils, or are there mast sections and a boom?
What rigging?
