You'd have to, to live in Canada. Don't fret, Mooron--if you don't tell
anyone you're Canadian, they'll just think you're an American.

No sweat Buddy.... everytime I'm visiting another country and get
belligerently drunk & verbally abusive to the locals... I make certain to
use an American drawl and praise the American virtues. I'm doin' my part to
maintain your global reputation! :-)

At least it sounds as if you're doing your part to maintain the reputation
of Texas/Oklahoma area. If you really want to emulate them, you should
always ask foreigners, "Say, (fill in the blank: Froggie, Raghead,
Krautman, Wop boy, etc.), why in hell ain't you never larned tuh speak
English, huh?"

I luv that accent where they don't "ponounce they ahs' Boston? NY?. The
southern drawl with the "Ya'll" is easy to listen to as well.

The quintessential Am-Can greeting should be ..
"How Ya'll doin'... Eh?!"
