I understand they don't have them in the USA... is this true??

Same here. Are they still working on the magnet guided cars out in
Calif.? Asking for trouble, IMO.

Shucks, they're working on video-guided cars, and cars with infrared
data exchange ports for linking up in traffic.

Why would it be trouble (assuming the system has been adequately
debugged)? I'd a lot rather just say "Home, James!" and put my feet up
than fight morons yakking on their cell phones while goign 80 in
bumper-to-bumper traffic. Let the computer do it! And as for the morons,
obviously a computer is going to be a safer driver....

This is european English, "smart" as in "chic", or stylish, i.e. "Raisa wore a smart Dior, while Laura sported a dated pinafore."
