I'm shocked!

No Nav... you're just stunned! .... but we all knew that.

Stunned, shocked it makes no difference. I had a regard for your
upstanding demeanor but now I wonder what manner of fish you are.

Well I'm certainly not a "fish" that would consider a reply like Bill's...
who stated:

" He has to put a black bar over the eyes
of the little kids in the photos so they can't be identified. Hence,
no red-eye."

I mean really..... where is his mind at that he would consider such an
obviously self incriminating statement??? Why would such a comment even
enter his head.... then again... I've heard it's best to write about what
you are familiar with.

Don't be petty Nav.... it suits you but it's getting long in the tooth.

Just accept the fact that you don't have a clue as to what causes red
eye.... if you did.. it wouldn't happen. That Lil' Billiard Boy is just
the facts! Deal with it..... or mail me a certified money order and I'll
provide you with a detailed explanation.

Don't forget my copyright fees!

Mail me the address... I'll forward the 10% as soon as Bill sends the money
order. :-D

Odd... most Professional Photographers say "Wow" when they see the lens.

But you picked up that ball up and ran with it.

obviously self incriminating statement??? Why would such a comment even

But you felt your reply was necessary and justified?

Petty? Yes, my revised opinion of you is firming up.

This ad hominem proves you've lost.

Being called silly is not an ad hominum... no more than a 'Bwhahahaha'
substainsiates an argument.

Why is this so difficult for you to understand? Let me explain it to you
even more simply. The light from the built in camera flash bounces off the
retina back to the camera lens when a person looks at the camera. Happens
every time - it's physics. If the person is not looking at the camera or
if their pupil is constricted then the effect gets smaller but any light
coming off the retina back into the camera is 'red eye'.

Boy... see I knew you had a clue as to what causes red-eye.... now what
measures would you take to negate this effect? Matter of fact how many
degrees of angle are required to remove the possibility of red-eye? Would a
deflector [ piece of white cardboard taped to deflect the 'built-in' flash]
have any effect? How would you compensate for this?

Professionals... Pah! I forgot more than either you or Bob ever knew about
photography!!.

But it's Christmas and the post from Canada is sooooooooo slow. I want
to get Ella hauled before I set sail for my summer cruise.

Great... you can finally get the seaweed off the prop so you don't get
stranded just outside the harbour on a nice breezy day.
