They're trying to be kind, but it's hindering the rehabilitation process, not helping. For the harsh reality is that Nav has been but a shadow of himself since his true protagonist, Capt Neal, cast his hat in the ring and sailed away. We've all watched, sadly, as Nav has flailed about, desperately searching for an opponent worthy of his skills, and in the end been reduced to arguing engineering inconsequentialities with DOug King. That once splendid, even if misguided, intellect with its amazing cosmic grasp has atrophied away, its dissolution mirrored by the steady truncation and increasing meaningless of his tag. Nowhere is his decay, his failure to cope with reality, more apparent than in his newfound preference for sailing rather than continuing the productive life as a 24-hour watcher and contributor to this newsgroup. This is escapism of the highest order. Nav needs help, but we are all powerless to offer any, until he himself realises and asks for it. Wot, no doggrel? Perhaps you need another drink? AH, self-realisation has yet to dawn...I'll drink to that. Don't forget to minesweep the local bar while you are at it. Cheers |

The local bar is still blocked by sand and ineefectual dredges and government propaganda. I'm just suffering withdrawal symptoms from a whole winter gone without sailing. -- Flying Tadpole ------------------------- Learn what lies below the waves of cyberspace! http://music.download.com/internetopera http://www.soundclick.com/flyingtadpole |
