Default Boom Stack Pack

Anyone have the type of sail covers that is attached to the boom?

Not on the tugboat, no.

OTOH I've sailed boats with these many times and two of our friends &
marina neighbors have them. One is a racing boat with a removable
stacking cover, it's very cool.

I like to single hand Redcloud all the time, but hate stacking,
flaking the main sail.

Why?

To big to handle with ease...

I installed Lazy Jacks but want to incorporate them into new sail
covers that attach to the boom and rool up on each side when not in
use.

Did you lead the lazy jacks outboard to the spreaders? This is often
overlooked but is a key to having them work smoothly.

No I did not, They attach to the mast.....Hmmmmmmmmm

Has anyone used this type of system?

Yep. On OPBs and chartered boats. IMHO the lazyjack, stack pack, solid
vang, and self-tailing winches have made sailing much more civilized.

.... How is the top of the sail
covered, is there a velcro flap?

You can have either a Velcro closure or a zipper. Personally I like a
zipper, it's easier to open & close in places where it's hard to reach.

Anyone know of a drawing or description anywhere online?

These are the two best I could find on a short search.

Thanks
