In the bar at my club, the predominant topic is sailing (mostly racing or
what jobs people are doing on their boats). That's followed by club

business
(amongst those who administer such stuff) and various non-sailing talk.

That explains why so many people are moving down to the South-East.... they
cannot stand the tedium.

Sure it is Joe. They're protecting me from going to Cuba,

Why do you want to support castro? Call him up and convince him to
hold free honest elections and Im sure his country will be opened up
again. I'd love to visit myself.

I go out all the time without a permit. I have this thing called a
passport. I know it hard for convicted felons but thats their problem.

..... Geee, what would I do without them?

Burn at sea?

My boat is both capable of reaching Cuba any time and could carry tons
of drugs and I havent been harassed by any law enforcement at all.....

I've never robbed except by cops. By your logic, that proves there are no
robbers except cops.

???????????

I've been robbed by a few cops to, Took a butterfly knife, and one
took a great big bud of Humbolt country best out of my pocket, way
back when. At least I did not go to jail. And he did not find or look
for the stuff hidden under the seat.

I feel lucky on that one :0)

Your list of left wing BS goes on & on.

Left wing? I'm a Goldwater Republican. I believe in the literal
interpretation of the Constitution of the United States. When it says
"Congress shall pass no law .." I think that means NO law and when it says
that no person shall be held without a warrant from a grand jury I believe
it treason to do otherwise!

American laws are for Americans, not combatants captured on the
battlefield, different rules apply.

Nazis were socialists and "conservatives"
sought to defend our constitution.. Now people who act like Nazis are
"conservatives", if they pretend to be religious, and people like me, who
believe Government should obey the law, are left wing?? Oh well ...

No Im right down the center, Not a republican nor a democrat. But I
can figure out whats wrong and right. Can you?

Joe

Funny you should mention elections. Castro volunteered to send
some observers to Florida, much like the 1st world does in 3rd
world elections... to keep them honest. For all Castro's faults,
he has a good sense of timing and humor.

Oh, just the same as it does the other 8 months a year of the sailing season
in this jolly little 56N estuary with ships, islands and bridges to dodge in
ever-changing conditions...

Three days of multiple-class series dinghy racing a week (up to four
classes), two days of multiple-class series yacht racing a week (up to three
classes), plus trophy races, regattas and fun events on other days. There's
a cruising section involving both yachts and dinghies - organised monthly
cruises and casual Thursday evening cruises, Saturday is practice day for
newbie dinghy sailors, kids' sailing on Sunday mornings, etc. Runs from late
March to late December.

Why do you ask? Doesn't your club do this sort of thing?

No, my club rides motorcycles.

I don't race, I criuse. I have crewed in races a few times though. I live 2
hours from the water, which is too much for a 2 hour race on Wed. night.

I was wondering what a 'Firth Of Forth' is.

'Firth' is Scottish for 'estuary', 'Forth' is the name of the river that
feeds it.
