Default PIRATES!

In Michigan a dog that chases deer is to be immediately destroyed (DNR law).

Holy smokes. Its only natural. How do dogs hold themselves back?

even on your own land?

If a stray dog is in your pasture harassing herd animals it can be legally
shot by the property owner. We have NO stray dogs in our area. The DNR
enforces the rule tightly.

Do they wear black uniforms with red swastikas?

Scupper met a deer? Our deer all know Chopper's scared of them...they will
stand out in the yard with him on the deck....no way will he get down on

the
lawn when they're out....we're thinking he must have had an encouter with

a
buck early on and it impressed him...

It was pretty funny when he spotted the deer, he did almost a perfect
point... if you ignore the lack of tail or nose! The deer stayed around for
about an hour, poking it's nose through the fence and running back & forth
with Scupper!

You train them not to....mine were sufficiently trained the first time they
had encounters with my horses...one good kick is usually enough to deter any
further ventures....

-- Why?

Running deer because hunting deer is a major revenue producer for the state
and if the deer are endangered by dogs, then there won't be enough to hunt
(ha)...

running herd animals in general because they endanger the livelihood of the
farmer....
