C'mon Scott, you know you're not a real sailor until you have an anchor
chocked on your cabin top.

Yup, cuts line wear down by 75% or better. Everyone I ask says they get 1 or 2
more seasons out of them.

Ok, fine with me. Call me anything you want, I'll just keep sailing.

Use your head. With the thimble and shackle there's ZERO chafe on the cleat
end. You can also see this done over at better marinas such as Capri and I just
saw the same thing at Jersey City Marina. It's far better than just tying it
and there's no stray line on the dock.

bob, you****head, you got shot down on this once before, remember? you were
even stupid enough to buy a shackle, install it on your dock cleat, the
wrong way BTW, and take pics and post them on the internet, making one big
foolish looking asshole out of you. Do you like the abuse? Did you like it
from your Dad?

WRONG!

Please explain how chafe happens with zero movement of the loop.

Sorry, Scotty Potty, but YOU all got slammed. I took more than one pic. ALL
boats at these marinas have this setup and I see it more and more. I even
posted the sign at the club explaining to members that this is SOP.
Anytime you want to come have a look, I'll bet you ANY $$$$ that ALL marinas
here use that system. South and North Min., Anna's harbor slips, even the
private docking for the condos!
Well? Put up or shut up!
