it didn't look so ugly in the unlit barn.

So tempting...but I'll let poor Scotty Potti off this time.

For some that constantly brags about their boat "thou protest too much"
about Scotties' boat. Based on a quick psych evaluation of Scotty's posts
vs. yours, one would also get the impression that Scotty enjoys his boat
more than you enjoy yours. What's up with that?

Uhhh, gee, John....why don't you explain the criteria for your "evaluation"
based on e-mails!?

My buddy is 61 and sails his Bristol 27 across the Atlantic every few
years.

RB

So what's your excuse? How many times have you sailed across the Atlantic?

John, what does this have to do with Scotty Potty's comment on elderly folks
"sailing" trawlers?
Stay on topic...if you can!

What is the tangle of line at the mast base?
What is the tangle of line port side of hatch?
Is that a mast from a Catalina 22??? Pretty thin.
Why are you reefed in obviously calm seastate?
Winch handle about to be knocked overboard!
If you are using a reefed genoa, sheeting block appears to be in the wrong
spot.
Is there a throwable PFD on the aft rail?
No foul weather jacket for your wife?

Next?

Your tits are even bigger than Horvath's!

I dunno. They're low enough to be balls!

What? No fenders on deck? And you call yourself a sailor?

my old slip neighbor, now 8 slips down, sails with 3 fenders haging on each
side. Makes it easy to spot him from a distance. ;)

Scotty leaves them hanging over the sides. He used to keep them on
deck, but every time he shifted his weight, they would all roll
overboard. Now he just leaves them. He conserves his energy for
opening Twinkies packages.

fenders in a slip is good practice. Lines can break, cleats can give way and so
on. Most boats I see in slips have a few fenders out.
