Pricey? it's very cheap, here. We have our own launch. Many people

OK, now I know what you're talking about...I thought you meant like they do
in Florida with the boats stacked on each other in big sheds...

We do that here. It's relatively cheap.

Hey! Are you *really* katysails? When did you start posting with quotes?

ummm... I'm not getting something here. If it was easy, then it
shouldn't have been a pain.

Actually I am somewhat familiar with the O'Day 22, it's not a boat I
would ever pick to trailersail. It's maybe slightly easier to
rig/launch/recover than a Catalina 22, but that boat is truly a PITA.
Gotta wonder why it's so popular... maybe the advertising?

Anyway, there are a fair number of boats that're more practical to
trailersail. You just have to look a little harder and carefully
evaluate the boat with that objective in mind.

... all that time re-rigging every time you want to
sail....

All what time? The Hunter 19 that we sailed & cruised for ten years
took less time to rig & launch than many people spend getting underway
from a slip.

I was never so glad as when we bought the 27" and got a slip for the
season....I prefer spending my time sailing and enjoying the boat, not
getting it ready or tearing it apart...

Me too.

Although the most constructive attitude might be the fellow near us who
trailers a Cape Dory Typhoon... he spends about two hours getting the
keel-stepped mast set up, double lowers, tongue extension, etc etc...
but he loves to fiddle with the boat and counts it all as 'time on
board.' Plus, it's a pretty little boat and lots of people come over to
talk to him about it.

Joe,

I do believe it was around there somewhere that the term "Whiskey with
Branch" came into being? Why don't you enlighten us "Damn Yankees!"

Hey Loco,

Lots of Lakes are connected to the Sea.
Some by rivers, other by conections to other bodies of water that are
connected to the sea.

We can excuse you though. We know that you live in the only State in the
Union without a single Natural Lake in it. So we don't expect you to be
very knowledge about Lakes.

That's crazy! Seems like some people just love spreading misery.

Mike's on the South River? No wonder he dosen't give a Rat's a$$ about the

Sometimes, I does, sometimes I doesn't....I was really me when I looked in
the mirror this morning, but I guess that could have changed sometime during
the day....
