wrote this crap: Haggie observed: I don't think the marinas care about their reputations anymore, there are probably 10 boats waiting for every slip around here. That was one of the reasons we switched to a mooring and the yacht club environment. The marina that we had been at for years became "popular" with a certain sort of boater, and all of a sudden there was a waiting list. Along with that came a nonchalance about work performed by the yard. When confronted about mistakes, or poor quality workmanship, they would laugh it off and refuse to make good. If they didn't feel like performing some type of work they would quote an exorbitant figure to make you go elsewhere. And when sailing is supposed to be your "release" from the rest of the daily crud, who needs problems there? Ever try dry sailing, or rack-and-launch? It's becoming very popular. Pathetic Earthlings! No one can save you now! |

"Joe" wrote Here we deal with a trailer park owner that lets you do pretty much what you want. We have 20 feet of trailer with 3 Very large rubbermaid storage lockers, Table with umbrella 4 chairs, 2 lounge chairs, 10 X 20 foot car port type tent with picnic table, Weber Gas Grill, parking for 4 cars,2 bird baths , palm tree, cactus, paint storage box, shade, 6X10 foot float. Dingy, in the water, best view of the lake, electricty & water included, all with my trailer lot. a couple pick ups on blocks and you'd be in red-neck heaven. SV Well now that you mention it, I do need to put the chevy up on blocks to find the short in the electical system. Must be the rats that ate the insulation. Did i mention the 12 foot swimming pool, and Outdoor stero system? Joe |

Kind of pricey, don't ya think? And then you don't have the use of your boat any time you want, like those evenings during the week when we just want to get out of here and drive out for a quiet evening on the boat.... -- katysails s/v Chanteuse Kirie Elite 32 http://katysails.tripod.com "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." - Robert A. You may have a better sunset view but you sail on a lake. S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" "No shirt, no skirt, full service" |

And then you
don't have the use of your boat any time you want, like those evenings during the week when we just want to get out of here and drive out for a quiet evening on the boat.... Every dry sail arrangement I've ever seen allows you one in and out every day you want. S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" "No shirt, no skirt, full service" |

Pricey? it's very cheap, here. We have our own launch. Many people use it for our evening races. Pathetic Earthlings! No one can save you now! |
