Not if the engine beds are at all sound. Unless the hull looks distorted or
saggy in that area, and you noticed that accelerating, decelerating, and
steering were kind of 'mushy' under power, then the hull structure is plenty
rigid to hold the weight of the engine. It's a good thought though.

I don't do trolls. I seem to recall some articles where they mentioned
putting stands under the engine area.

I've never noticed any special supports under the engine area.

Unless you have a specific reason for concern, then I think that you should
forget about it.

Of course, if you *are* worried, then you could get a piece of 4 x 2, cut it
to length, and wedge it in.

Yeah thats one of the problem with plastic and wood boats.

You should see the nightmares in the shipyard here now, some wood
boats that have dimples that would make you cry if you owned the
boats. I understand wood will move back to shape some what, but these
are ridiciloius.
