What kind of boat do you have? How are the stringer attached, and how
long are they? Were is it supported in the cradle now? How thick is
your hull aroung the supports? What kind of main engine? What kind of

If you have an extra stand, it won't hurt, but is really not necessary. If
your boat NEEDS one there, it is not particularly sea worthy, and needs
structural work in that area.

Yes, especially if the engine is outside the cradle. It is standard
practice here to add a prop for fin keelers near the rudder. There are
several good reasons for this.
