religion worshipping whatever God they
happen to fancy.

Of all the silly beliefs in god and angels, the Greeks did it best. Zues and
Apollo would beat the living hell out of Jesus!
And his old man!

To some people, it is self-evident that Bush lied. Other people cannot see
it at all. They *genuinely* cannot see that Bush lied. They still believe
that Saddam had WMD. They still believe that Saddam posed a real threat to
the security of the West. These people were 100% confident that WMD would
be discovered shortly after the war ended. A sensible person would revise
his opinions if his predictions were not borne out by reality.

It is very unlikely that any evidence that I produce will have any influence
at all on your current opinion. So, I would be grateful if you would tell
me what kind of evidence would constitute "proof" for you.

Nevertheless, I will offer you the following:-

However, I ask that you play fair. After you have finished pouring scorn
on this page, please tell me what you would accept as irrevocable proof. If
you have the closed mind of a Bush supporter, then I would ask that you
spare us both the effort of a futile debate.

Bush has been able to turn up little more than paperwork and a few scattered
deals by Saddam. Yet still some Americans won't admit to the obvious.
This is not about truth for them. It's about being right. Even if they're
wrong, they believe that repeating it again and again will make it truth.
It's same technique used to create god and Jesus.

That's interesting but he's reporting hearsay. He doesn't actually talk
about miracles so there's no evidence of divinity. Of course there were
probably lots of teachers that could have filled that description. If he
had known him it first hand and included corroborating evidence first
hand that would have been good. What concerns me is why are the contents
of the dead sea scrolls being kept secret? Is this your proof?

As my father worked at the Museum of Natural History for many years and I had
brief access to the scrolls when they were secured for x-ray in 1991.
No one, and I mean NO ONE can read them. They are in a language that looks a
lot like Klingon, which of course re-enforces my belief that Star Trek was more
than just good sci-fi.

A very valid point and, sadly, true I suspect.

Simple;

There you go again; History according to Neal Warren.

What was Abraham last name? David? Moses? Soloman? Plato? Alexander, the
great?

Even today. in Islamic Societies many go with just one name, without a
surname.

There is a great question about Mary and Joseph's trip for the census.
Was it really a census at that time and was that why the trip was taken.
Jewish professy was that the Master would be born of "The House of
David," which was Bethelham. Is that the way they got Jesus' birth
there? I don't know but the story has a lot of people using just one
name.

Can you enlighten me, Neal?

The more I think I know the more questions I have.

Total nonsense. Much of the text has been translated. It isn't quite the same
as modern Hebrew, but its not that far off. The fact that several books of the
Bible were found intact helped a lot, but anyone familiar with Hebrew would
recognize it immediately. The big problem is that much of scrolls have crumbled
into small pieces - computers are helping now to put it all back together. Now
that photos of all fragments are available to scholars much progress has been
made.

Sorry, THom, but your theology is a bit warped. Western religion =
