A man named Jesus is on historical record as having been
crucified. If I remember the record correctly there were
two other men crucified at the same time.

The other two dead men were no more Gods than Jesus
was. What was Jesus' last name anyway? Did he even
have a last name? Funny how everybody else in those days
seems to have had a last name. Maybe religious legends
don't need a last name?

How one group of religious nuts can claim with absolute
surety theirs is the only TRUE religion should tell any

Actually, TRUE Muslems accept other religions and profits, but still think
their system is "superior."
It's all very sad. The very idea of a god sounds so silly when spoke aloud, I'm
always amazed that anyone could buy into it. The Greeks at least had some fun
with their gods and it always cracks me up that each "faith" scoffs at the
other...or murders the other.
Religion is still are most primitive defect.

Proof that you're correct is Donal's statement that
you'll answer for your beliefs. Katysails says similar
things only she's more direct. She condemns people
directly to hell. Donal is a bit more subtle but the
underlying motivation is the same. Both Katysails
and Donal delight in feeling superior to those
they label heathens and delight in the fact that
heathens will be punished. If this isn't the opposite
of what Christians are supposed to be like then
it's darned close to it. It proves you are right and
they are dangerous, spiteful hypocrites brainwashed
into hatred and bigotry by organized religion.

Right on! Religion has done more to harm mankind than
any other single factor that anyone can name.

Sometimes I wonder how much progress we would
have made had we not been hampered by religion
and this crazy concept of a God who gives a hoot
about mankind. I fancy mankind would be out
among the stars exploring them if they had only
devoted their efforts to cooperation instead
of hateful antagonism and destruction.

The only rational and sane concept of a god is
some unknown force that may or may not have
been responsible for the Big Bang that started
the time/space continuum. There is nothing
more egotistical and foolish than the concept
of a God who is interested in the personal
habits of every living man, woman and child.

It is beyond stupidity to think such nonsense.
