If only it were so simple. Let's say we wish to do that. Do we line up
members of _your_ government and shoot them? How about bombing Israel?
Africa? Ireland? France? ... Isn't the key to be committed not to
fighting terrorism but removing the cause of the terrorist?

All it takes to defeat and eliminated terrorists is a
concerted effort to do so. People like you who don't
think it's possible need to get out of the way if you
aren't up to helping with the task. The task can be
done without you but the task is hindered when too
many of you pacifists get in the way.

This is all fact. Dementia only comes into play
when people think we have to live with terrorists
butchering us up. Don't allow your cowardice
and apathy to hinder progress for the rest of
humanity.
