No Marty,
The Simian got us beat, hand down as far as sailing opportunities goes. I keep my boat in the water year 'round and my winter sailing with the pilothouse is a lot of fun. There is better wind and less crowds but I don't have the sunshine. At Latitude 48 day lite is pretty short, as you know on your Lake. The Capt has long warm days the year round and longer days to play in it. The bum can even swim in it all year. Even though I'll be sailing on New Years Eve and day, it will be with my RED DOT heater going. His season is longer OT |

Live-aboards like Neal sail very little.
Did Jane tag Neal's ear to track his movements? How does he know how often Neal sails? Perhaps he's sailing now, while Jane dreads the moment his wife slobbers awake to chase him from the keyboard...so she can look up original Hostess recipes! Bahahahahaha! RB |

His season is longer OT True enough, but even had I a pilot house I believe that sailing in the traditional sense, would difficult in Janurary, Feb. and March when the water is rather hard in these parts. As for the Crapton, while one can sail year round in his neck of the woods, this in no way implies that HE ever unhooks from his engine block. Cheers Marty |

CM Actually the plan is not to haul at all this year. I've got this nice little retrograde bay (a bay within a bay if you will) that has about three feet of silt in it. As the lake levels drop the boat will sink into the silt and a great deal of the normally wetted surface will be high and dry. I'll string about 50' of deicing cable through the bilge and around the inside of the hull near the water line to prevent any frost damage. Cheers Marty |

I suppose that to Bobby Sue, it seems like Neal sails an awful lot.
neal sails several days a week and he does it all year. You? With your tiny cabin you do mostly daysails, which you already admitted. We took plenty of weekend trips over the past 5 months, while you ran home as the sun set! C&C 27? bwahahahahaa! RB |

I took 3, week-long cruises this summer, as well as a slew of three
day weekend cruises. Another lie. You already posted that you daysailed this summer. Try again! Hoooh ahhh! RB |

Meanwhile, you are over in the C&C list begging for help because you
can't find Soundings Online!!! It think it's definitely my turn to... Bwahahahahahahahahahaha!!! Nope. The link you gave is one I had. It's just so terribly slow...as pointed out by someone on the C&C board, I thought there might be a better link. RB |
