It's cabin is smaller than the boat I have now! It's a starter boat. The X-Yachts reminds me of the C&C 99 with a inferior interior. Neither the X-Yacht nor the C&C are less than 100K used. RB |

SAIL LOCO wrote: No there are 2 better. The Express 30 and the X-Yachts X-332. I'd say there's QUITE a few more. $99K will buy a LOT of boat & gear, and most 39 footers are going to be both faster and roomier than 30 and 32 footers. As a subscriber I can attest that they DON'T post all of the boats they list in the magazine. Just out of curiosity, I ran the search for boats 30'-40' priced from 0-99k and came up with 400. Question is, why would someone want to buy a boat that they can't sail competitively? My guess I so that they can sail faster than much slower boats! Like buying a vette and beating AMC Pacers at stoplight drag races, then bragging about it. I guess Bubbles is nuts! John Cairns "DSK" wrote in message ... I need a boat where getting a good night's sleep is possible and without forcing my wife to sleep in another bunk! VERY few boats under 40 feet have 7 foot bunks. Now throw in the perormance criteria and not buying a bloated old boat. Sorry. RB |

Why, becauase he is actually taking a look at what's on the market before making announcements about 'the best boat'? I need a boat where getting a good night's sleep is possible and without forcing my wife to sleep in another bunk! VERY few boats under 40 feet have 7 foot bunks. Relatively few boats over 40 feet have 7' bunks. Especially mass-produced boats. However, it's all out there. If you look hard enough, you'll find. Now throw in the perormance criteria and not buying a bloated old boat. You mean like a bargain-basement leftover that is actually smaller & slower than your last 'stepping stone' boat? Sorry. Yes, you are, Bubbles.... but mostly you're nuts! DSK |

![]() If you were any kind of sailor you'd realize that you rarely get a good night's sleep even if your berth is 10 feet long. Real sailors sleep with one eye open but you wouldn't know a thing about that would you? S.Simon - 40 winks, two or three at a time like a real sailor. "Bobsprit" wrote in message ...
