Default Prove me Wrong!

Its so typical that you pick one of the worst features of the boat to hinge your claims
on. The aft cabin on the C&C 34XL is a cave with almost no ventilation. There is a tiny
hatch that opens into cockpit foot well, and no way to generate a generous airflow. This
is not a proper berth for adults, it is a playroom for kids.

A proper berth has at least one forward facing, large hatch to scoop in air while at
anchor. Otherwise, the boat is useless for cruising in the tropics, or even in the
summer. My Nonsuch had one large and one small forward facing hatch in the stateroom; my
cat has two large forward facing hatches, plus a smaller side hatch in both staterooms.
If there is the slightest wind at anchor, the cabin is cool all night. (At the dock we
sometimes rigged a windscoop if we weren't facing forward, but hardly ever need at
anchor.)

Relatively few boats over 40 feet have 7' bunks. Especially mass-produced
boats.

However, it's all out there. If you look hard enough, you'll find.

Yup. Found ONE. The 34xl from C&C.

Ventilation can be improved. Both 36's I was aboard had dealt with this, adding
a second port in the cabin sole wall. With cabin door open, it's fine. Dockside
there's AC of course.

We slept aboard many times this summer. We never had a problem sleeping and it
was often cold at night when anchored. A 12 volt fan was used maybe twice.
We always use the main cabin's double.
The "cave" of the 34xl will have to be addressed with some alterations, but
it's better than a bunk that's too small!

I listed 8 features. YOU picked the worst one, I guess!!!

The Magic boat sails fast and points high
It's under 40 feet long
It's under 100K used
It's got a shower stall
It's got a large cockpit
It's got a 7 foot long king sized berth aft
It looks like a sailboat
It's less than 15 years old

Loco, be a sport and help the 3 people on the C&C list find a 32 for under
30K.
Two of them already made me offers, but I won't sell until end of 2004.
You know nothing about the market!

I know enough to not post that some boat can't be had for some price.

Oh, and it's a LOT slower.

Don't forget that on the water a speed contest between two sailboats consists
of 1/3 boat speed, 1/3 crew work and 1/3 driver. In your case your minus
2/3rds.

There's two people desperate for a C&C 32 right now on the list. They've both
e-mailed me about selling Alien.
Why not help them out? They've found NO C&C 32s for much less than 35K.

Your such a lamo. If not today then tomorrow. I never said any boat could be
bought for any price anytime. Somebody somewhere may be selling a 34XL for
$15k nex week.

The Express 30....It's OLD. It's slower. It's smaller. It's an
inexpensive

Buy it's NOT as old, as slow, as small or as inexpensive as YOUR C&C 32. Wamm!

Wamm!

It's smaller, less cruisable and certainly worth less.... Express 30 is 5-10 K
less than a C&C 32.
And for good reason!
