![]() You can see the repair in the following photo: http://captneal.homestead.com/files/Closehaul2.jpg See the lighter line forward of the aft bale. That's were the boom broke in two. The aft bale used to be right there and the boom broke where it was weakened by the (4) screws that held the bale to the boom. S.Simon - the one and only "Bobsprit" wrote in message ... Neal, could you please take a photo showing us the repair area of the boom. I don't believe you EVER made a repair. Had you done so, you would never have allowed a bend to remain. I also don't believe you're dumb enough to repair a broken spar at the expense of far greater weight when you could have easily replaced it with a proper one. RB |
