I'm Letting Donal off the Hook

a charter boat!!!

Are you claiming that you would expect a charter boat to behave in the
manner that I described?

Donal, I've sailed a LOT of boats, mostly cruisers in the 27-40 foot range. I
never felt a 2 second delay in helm response.

And neither did you. Now go take a vitamin and get some sleep!
